The story
Paithani is one of the oldest surviving silk weaves in India. The peacock-and-lotus motif in the pallu is the traditional pattern of the Yeola weavers. This saree was woven by Shridhar Marathe, a third-generation Paithan weaver who carries his grandfather's design notebooks. The pallu took three weeks on a single loom.
How we source
Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.
Every piece we stock is bought directly from the master weaver. No middlemen. No mill production. Ramubhai will tell you the thread count, the loom number, and the weaver's name.
